POLICY STATEMENT: Donor-restricted gifts will only be accepted for projects and ministries that
support the mission of Beebe Advent Christian Camp (BACC) and have been approved by the
board of directors.

DEFINITIONS:
Restricted gift: a gift that is subject to restrictions, limitations, conditions, terms of reference,
directions or other restricting factors imposed by the donor that would constrain or limit how the
gift can be used.

POLICY:
   1. Spending of funds is confined to costs, programs and projects that are approved by the
      Board of Directors of Beebe Advent Christian Camp, and reflect its mandate.
   2. Restricted gifts will only be considered if given by cheque, with written restrictions for
      evaluation.
   3. Restricted gifts will not be deposited in the bank account until the designated project and
      restrictions/conditions have been evaluated and approved by the board of directors or
      finance committee of BACC. The gift may be approved only if the project and conditions:
     a. are consistent with the charitable purposes of BACC
     b. do not interfere with BACC’s direction and control of its own activities
     c. do not violate public policy; and
     d. are not illegal.
   4. Donor-restricted gifts that do not meet the above criteria will be refused and returned to
      the donor.
   5. Each accepted contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be placed
      in a fund and used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a
      program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by
      the Board of Directors, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where most
      needed.
   6. Policy point #5 will be made known to donors prior to accepting restricted gifts, and
     included in all appeals for donations. Donor-restricted gifts will not be accepted unless
     donors understand this policy.
